Vientiane City Bus Moves Toward Cashless Payment

Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise (VSCBE,) which operates Vientiane City Bus Service, is implementing a cashless electronic payment system for some of its routes in the capital.

Passengers on the Airport line and ITECC line are now able to pay for their journey via the LDB trust service, a QR code payment system developed by Lao Development Bank.

Payments can also be made with VISA, MasterCard, UnionPay and JCB, according to images of the service revealed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Laos.
